May is an awesome month of pre-winter warmers....May 11th its an early morning gig at The Lismore Farmers Market and then fun in the evening, playing with The Broken Levee Brass Band for some big time New Orleans fun and laughter at The Channon Taverns "Blues Stomp"...

Sunday 12th May its Mother's day and we're spoiling Mum at The Dunoon Sports Club's Mother Day Lunch from 12-3pm, with live music played by myself and Vonnstar, followed by a fun evening of Pluckers & Poets, where the locals jump up and wow us with their talents!

Saturday May 18 is a day out busking at The Murwillumbah Art Trail. Sunday 19th is an early morning of song at The Lismore Carboot Market with Jewel from 9am to 1pm.

Mish will be playing her soulful, bluesy, jazz-pop originals on keys and vocals, joined by her fabulous BF and musical soul mate Jewel on tenor uke and tight, move you to the core vocal harmonies. They'll throw in lots of covers that you'll love too as Jewel jumps on the keys so Mish can freestyle it on trumpet and vocals.

Expect 4 days and nights of music, artists, architecture, feasting and drinking in Murwillumbah from May 16-19

Art everywhere, music, indigenous artists, circus, performance, dance and off-the-wall fun! Art and performance in surprising places. Mish is busking!!

Four events will come together in Murwillumbah to create a unique visitor experience of “Culture & Cuisine”. The day will open at the Kinship Festival, Knox Park, followed with the opening of the MAT art galleries. Makers and Finders Market will create a vibrant mall in the main Street during the day showcasing local artisans, artists, buskers, street theatre and sculpture together with the best culinary experiences the Tweed has to offer. Tweed Food Fest will offer an evening experience of exquisite food, great entertainment and some of our finest hand-crafted local beverages.

There’s something terrific for everyone The Kinship Festival happening in Knox Park The Regent Cinema Slam Poetry and Beer Stories with Stone & Wood Brewing M-Arts hosting workshops & open studios Makers and Finders Markets + Tweed Foodie Festival + Wintersun 2.0 hosting a massive street party the the Saturday! Feel the love with Mum this Mothers Day at The Dunoon Sports club. Its always a special event with breezes on the deck, sunshine, live music and divine food. Pluckers and Poets is on from 4-7pm so its a double blessing of music, poetry and fun times. Book early, last year it was sold out! From 12-3pm it'll be Mish Songsmith on keys, singing passionately and powerfully and Vonnstar on sax and cajon keeping the beat up and the vibes soaring with sweet, jazz inspired sax solo's. Talk and be inspired by like minded songwriters in the local area who get up to do a few songs with the feature act playing for 30 minutes at the end of the session from 9-9.30pm.

This funky, cosy new venue welcomes Tuntable Creek Songwriter and Musician Mish Songsmith and Jewel Musica. Potent, passionate and powerful singer/songwriter Mish Songsmith caresses piano keys & sings melodiously with long time Besty & wonder talent, Jewel Musica. Together these two locals interweave like sisters, performing Mish's soul inspired music with sweet harmonies, light percussion and tenor ukulele. Add a sprinkling of Mish on trumpet whilst Jewels slides over to the keys and the spices of well-known songs by Madness, Mraz, Lennon, Cohen, Aretha, Fleetwood Mac and 1920's jazz in a mishmash of pop, folk, soul, jazz and blues and you have the lingering, fresh taste of Songsmith & Jewel.

Mish sings out with power and passion whilst playing keys and Vonnstar keeps the beat and adds the delighful sounds of tenor sax and vocal harmony to Mish's songs of love, life, truth, loss and delight!

The Roar Festival of Women’s Music will showcase the diverse and talented female performers from across the Northern Rivers at the culmination of the Lismore Women’s Festival organized by the YWCA in March 2019.

Building upon the successful and sold out Women’s Micro Music Festival hosted by the ArtHouse in 2018 at the Gollan Hotel the event is brought to the community as a collaboration between renowned community arts organization Slippry Sirkus Inc. and the ArtHouse with support from Women NSW.

The program will include; 5-6pm - Women in Music Panel discussion - FREE ENTRY 6-9pm - ArtWomb - open stage and collaborative community painting - FREE ENTRY 8-12pm - The Roar Stage featuring top female talent from the Northern Rivers - Ticketed @$15

International Womens Day Rally

It'll be women roaring and blazing and loving on the streets today for the International Womens festival and the beginning of Lismore's Annual Event and Womens week long festival 'ROAR.'
